Even though I wasn't raised here in Pittsburgh , living here for a year and change you really get the idea that Myron was more than a "play by play guy", he was more than the inventor of the terrible towel...he was as much a part of Pittsburgh as the bridges, inclines, or Primanti Bros.
When I first heard him on the radio back in '03 I was like....What the hell is this guy talking about. But today as I went through archived footage of Myron for the tribute song we put together...I began to get what Myron was all about.
I listened to about 45 minutes worth of audio from Myron and I can't even imagine how people that lived here all their lives feel today.
I didn't know you Myron, or have the chance to listen to you when you did the Steelers games, but I know the city of Pittsburgh lost one of its legends today, and we will all miss you.
